Places I Just Can't Get Out of My Head

Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona was the first holiday I went on with just my mum. I actually won a hotel voucher several years ago when I used to have another blog which gave us 200 Euros off a hotel, which meant we could stay in a great location in the city. The architecture in Barcelona just blew me away and it quickly became one of my favorite places I've ever been, and I really can't wait to eventually take M there and show him the delights of my favorite place- Parc Guell.

Bruges, Belgium
Bruges is probably one of the most romantic (and underrated) places I've been. It's quaint, full of artisan chocolate and history, what's there more to love?! I can't quite put my finger on what I love so much about it, but everyone else I know that has been there has also fallen in love with it, so I know I'm not the only one!

Dordogne Region, France
The Dordogne has been the area of France I have visited since a child as my parents bought a second home there. Fast forward 24 years and they have both separated, but have still kept properties here which says a lot! It is in my mind the most beautiful place. Full of sunflower fields, canoeing, chateaus and natural swimming locations, it really is an ideal place to go on holiday. It will always be my favorite place to go on holiday, and really hope as me and M have our own family, we spend a lot of time there. Check out my travel guide to the region to find out more.

Tasmania, Australia
Luckily enough, M is from Tasmania so I was roped into visiting the place pretty early on in our relationship and it was love at first sight! Tasmania is so different from the rest of Australia, and reminds me a little of the UK and Dordogne- it's full of natural beauty, and is very 'green' in comparison to the rest of Australia due to the amount of rain they get. I also like the mix of urban and landscape- to be honest I haven't really completely fallen in love with Brisbane as a city since being here, I find the weather too hot in the summer, and the beach that little bit too far away, but Tassie has it all! If anyone ever visits Australia, I would really recommend taking a trip to Tasmania.
